Overview

Nazli Gurdamar-Okutur is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Koç University Graduate School of Business, specializing in consumer behavior. Her research primarily focuses on investigating financial judgments and decisions, temporal influences, and the various aspects of consumer well-being. Using a combination of lab, online, and field experiments, she examines a range of topics, including how people form judgments about resource allocations, factors contributing to poor financial and health decisions, the role of time in influencing these decisions, and the motivational drivers behind charitable giving.

Dr. Gurdamar-Okutur earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from London Business School, and holds an M.A. degree in Economics from Duke University and a B.A. degree in Economics from Boğaziçi University. Prior to academia, she worked as a marketing professional in the FMCG industry.
