What is the main difference between KOÇ MIM, CEMS MIM and MBA Programs?

Koç Master of Science in International Management Program is a pre-experience degree as opposed to Koç MBA Programs which require at least 3 years of professional experience.

KOÇ MIM Program is especially aimed at candidates who are willing to extend their network within national borders and pursuit a career in Turkey, since they are not obligated to fulfill the two criteria of the CEMS MIM Program: Exchange semester abroad and International Internship.

When are the CEMS MIM and KOÇ MIM application deadlines for the 2020-2021 Academic Year?

The application deadlines for  CEMS MIM and  KOÇ MIM Programs for the  2020-2021 Academic Year are:

Early Application is between January 2nd-February 28th, 2020.

Regular Application deadline is April 30th, 2020.

Late Application deadline is June 30th, 2020.

Do I have to take ALES Exam in order to apply to the MIM Programs?

You can take ALES Exam only for KOÇ MIM applications, ALES is not required for CEMS MIM applications.

Do I have to take the GMAT exam prior to my Application?

GMAT exam should be taken.

Who should write my recommendation letters?

There is no restriction on who should write your recommendation letters. However, candidates are advised to provide at least one of their recommendations from a business professional. This person can be someone you have worked with during any kind of part-time/ full-time job.

Are my recommenders obliged to fill in the recommendation form?

The recommendation forms have been prepared to facilitate the task of your recommender. However, recommendation letters in essay format are equally welcome. In order to upload the essay, the recommender can use the upload button in the recommendation page that s/he is redirected to through e-mail notification from the Graduate School of Business.

Does it matter whether our transcripts are in English or in Turkish?

Transcripts can be presented in English or Turkish. Foreign students who possess transcripts in languages other than English or Turkish are required to have it translated and approved.

How are interviews arranged?

Interviews are arranged after the candidate completes and submits the online application.

Do you have any required minimum scores for the GMAT/GRE exam?

Each year, the average GMAT/GRE score of that year’s cohort is calculated. Applicants’ GMAT/GRE scores are expected to be in line with the class average.

Do you have a minimum for undergraduate GPA?

There is no minimum GPA requirement.

Is taking Business courses at undergraduate level a requirement?

Taking Business courses at the undergraduate level is a requirement. KOÇ MIM also accepts applications of students whose Bachelor’s degree is not in a business-related field. In that respect, students, holding non-business undergraduate degrees, are expected to participate to the pre-master program.

How much is the application fee and where do I pay it?

The tuition of CEMS MIM Program for the 2019-2020 Academic Year is 92.500,00 TL.

Are dormitories available for MIM students?

MIM students are provided off campus dormitories in Sarıyer.

Is a thesis required for completing MIM studies at Koç?

In accordance with the regulations and requirements of the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK), the CEMS MIM and Koc MIM degree requires no graduation thesis.

Can I visit your campus and attend a class?

With prior notification, it is possible for candidates to visit the campus and attend a lecture.
