The program is 31 credit non-thesis program. It is designed to be completed in a 13-month period organized in 3 semesters. Classes are held on two evenings in weekdays (Monday and Wednesday) from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm throughout the year. Classes are held at the Koç University İstinye Campus.
Students are first introduced to the general framework of financial theories and concepts in Financial Statements & Reporting, Quantitative Investment Analysis, Corporate Finance, Investments and Ethics in Finance. Knowledge and skills acquired in the initial courses allow for advanced discussions in Derivatives, Fintech and Block Chain, Risk Management and Advanced Corporate Finance. Finally students apply their cumulative knowledge in Valuation, Financial Modeling, Mergers and Acquisitions.
CFA institute is the largest global membership association of investment professionals and it administers CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement) and Investment Foundations curriculums and exam programs worldwide.
CFA Institute is affiliated with a limited number of select Universities that embed CFA program curriculum into their degree programs. Affiliated universities are recognized as leaders and serves as role models to other institutions. Koç University was selected as the first partner program in Türkiye and is still among the affiliated Universities. Within the scope of this affiliation program, Koç MSc in Finance program covers a significant portion of CFA content in its curriculum and selected students are awarded with the scholarships for the CFA exams.
